Dietary fat intake and ovarian cancer risk: a meta-analysis of epidemiological studies.

​A significant elevation in ovarian cancer risk is associated with regular consumption of fatty foods.

This study explored the relationship between generous consumption of fatty foods and the incidence of ovarian cancer. A group of Chinese researchers systematically reviewed dietary and clinical data of approximately 900,000 women that participated in 25 studies.

The team of experts found out that high intake of dietary fats, including saturated and trans fats, promoted the development of ovarian cancer. Data from this study offer strong support to the hypothesis that a high-fat diet may increase ovarian cancer development risk.
